YG Entertainment‘s founder and CEO, Yang Hyun Suk showed positive attitude on recruiting comedian Jung Hyung Don of ‘Infinity Challenge’.
Jung Hyung Don had contacted YG Entertainment during the filming of his MBC Everyone TV show, ‘Weekly Idol’ to present G-Dragon with an award.
Jung Hyung Don would have called G-Dragon on his personal line, but he didn’t have his number so he did the next best thing and contact his agency. During the phone call he half jokingly asked the YG representative if they accepted comedians in their agency and the rep told him she would speak to the people in the higher up.
StarIn spoke about this with Yang Hyun Suk on the 27th and the CEO answered, “If Jung Hyung Don was honest about what he said, I would you seriously review the conditions of signing him up”.
He continued, “Including myself, almost everyone in our company are fans of Jung Hyung Don. If he actually signs up with us, we should be the ones to feel thankful”.
Although YG is known for managing big name K-Pop idols such as Big Bang, 2NE1, Psy, and Tablo, the company actually has some big name A-List actresses signed up with them as well. Actresses Jung Hye Young, Kang Hye Jung, and Yoo In Na are under contracts with YG. YG Entertainment has been successfully accepted in KOSDAQ stock exchange recently and the company is planning to expand its business even further.
