Actress Son Ye Jin had a fan meeting with 200 fans to celebrate her birthday (January 11th) and actress Yoon Eun Hye attended the event as a surprise guest showing off their friendship.
Son Ye Jin’s fan meeting took place on January 14th at the Hanmaeum Hall of fashion group Hyungji. The event was so popular that the application for the 200 attendees ended the same day it opened.
In part 1, Sweet Sorrow, who Son Ye Jin befriended through SBS’s ‘Alone In Love’ put on a performance of celebration and actress Yoon Eun Hye appeared drawing out happy waves of reception. In part 2, Son Ye Jin personally played the ukulele and Yoon Eun Hye stayed by her side as good friends they are.
The event also marked the happy occasion of Son Ye Jin’s movie ‘Chilling Romance’ drawing 3 million moviegoers so far. As such, there was an event with fans writing out their wishes on the movie ticket and Son Ye Jin making some of those wishes come true.
Singer Jadu was also among entertainers present at the meeting.

Both are not known to have many entertainer friends. So it’s kinda strange to see them like this all lovey dovey lately, but it works. I think both are charming actresses and as entertainment industry is a very harsh profession, they’d probably can relate to each other and help one another.
What’s funny is that I’ve told many of my friends several years back that Yoon Eun Hye’s coverage and portrayal in media reminded me of how they covered and portrayed Son Yejin during her younger days. Medias tend to try to write or portray certain stars in certain ways at times to gain readership, and Son Yejin in her younger days went through much of similar criticisms, scandals, rumors, and etc. from the media as Yoon Eunhye was going through (I said this in 2007~8). So I guess they should be able to understand that part of the business very well and relate. It’s always nice to see close relationship between stars, because it is such a competitive and harsh industry.

That’s the point. Since entertainment industry is a very harsh and competitive world it’s hard to maintain a friendship let alone a “close” friendship like them. So I think they should treasure it. Both are top stars, they are in a position which is being envied by many people. It’s hard to find a trustworthy person on that condition. And I think they found that in each other. So it’s not a strange thing to find them become close since they have similarities.

SYJ & YEH learned the okulele together. On the interview with the MC (on fansmeet) YEH told him & SYJ’s fans that SYJ learned it just for a few days but she’s very firm & confident to show her new found ability to her fans. YEH feels worry that it won’t run smoothly (because of SYJ brief practice) but SYJ prove her wrong so YEH felt relief. It nice to see them have a close friendship to the point that they worrying each other. I hope their friendship will last forever
