Lee Hyori is coming back to TV.
It has been announced that Lee Hyori will be the MC of SBS‘s new music program and that Jung Jae Hyung would be her partner.
Lee Hyori’s management company representative revealed on January 16th in a phone conversation with NewsEN, “Music program MC is confirmed. It’s a night music program together with Jung Jae Hyung so the format, air date, and other last details are being adjusted.”
The representative also added, “Lee Hyori’s comeback in the first half of the year is separate from the music program MC and she’s thinking of the album. Lee Hyori is a style that pushes on once she makes a decision so there are no parts confirmed but is receiving songs.”
Lee Hyori had released album ‘H-Logic’ in 2010 then followed with more volunteer works and animal protection activities more than the official promotions.
The insider explained, “She could be nervous about coming back to TV after 2 years away and it might change on the day of the pre-recording but doesn’t seem nervous now.”
Some are wondering if Lee Hyori’s meeting with boyfriend Lee Sang Soon might be possible with the program. Lee Sang Soon had previously appeared on KBS 2TV’s ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ also and since Lee Hyori’s program is a music program, Lee Sang Soon could naturally appear on it.
The representative answered the question adding, “Guest list is the responsibility and right of the production staff. If Lee Sang Soon does accept the invitation, Lee Hyori wouldn’t necessarily deny it. (They) don’t avoid meeting purposely. If opportunity arises, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon couple can meet as MC and Guest on the music program.”
