Yoo Jae Suk was named the ‘Top Variety Entertainer’ with close to a half of the total votes.
Search engine EZDay conducted a survey from December 9th through tht 16th with 1,446 participants for the ’2011 EZDay Entertainment Award’, and Yoo Jae Suk took the throne for the category of ’2011 Top Variety Entertainer’ with 43.8% (633) of votes.
Yoo Jae Suk, also nicknamed the National MC, is currently on MBC TV’s ‘Infinity Challenge’, SBS TV’s ‘Running Man’, and KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together Season 3′. The overwhelming support for Yoo Jae Suk as the ‘Top Variety Entertainer’ of the year really draws attention.
The 2nd place went to Kim Byung Man of KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert’ with 23.4% or 338 votes and the 3rd place went to Lee Seung Gi who is a rising star of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 Days’ and SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’ with 12.8% or 185 votes.
Kang Ho Dong who has announced retirement followed on the list then MiJonYeoOh, then Jung Hyung Don.
KBS’s ’1 Night 2 Days’ was named the ‘Top Variety Program’ with 36% (520) of the votes. MBC’s ‘Infinity Challenge’ was #2 with 24.8% (359) votes. MBC TV’s ‘I Am a Singer’, KBS 2TV’s ‘Gag Concert’, and SBS TV’s ‘Strong Heart’ followed on the list.
Yoo Jae Suk’s absolute dominance is still as clear as the sky, but what’s interesting is the fast rising status of Lee Seung Gi as one of the top MCs in the broadcasting industry. As talented as all the individuals are on the ranking from 1 thru 5, not a single one of them had the sort of success that Lee Seung Gi is having at the tender age of 24.
From this year on, it will be interesting to watch Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Seung Gi battle over the top MC spot for years to come.

So it’s LSG vs YJS now, following in the footsteps of his mentor LSG is doing well. Kim Byung Man is such a hard worker but I don’t think he’s suited as a main MC and Jung Hyung Don probably fits that billing better. Like the article says, it will be interesting to see how these two giants stack up against each other in the near future.

Wow, lee seung gi!
Its fortunate that lsg have a mentor like khd and yjs as role model…
He has that flare that both khd n yjs have, that nice image, but also witty n quick on his feet..I kinda have that premonition of him being a good mc after watching his spontenousity in 1n2d and other show, even back at such a young age…something must’ve happen in 2007 coz that’s when he’s totally turn around and gain the confidence he need..
But what I found most remarkable is that he’s still remain humble and not in over his head, he’s just becomes more talkative, hehe

Lee Seung Gi had a great mentor and a role model in Kang Ho Dong and he’ll only get better as he finds his own style and color. However, I believe Yoo Jae Suk will still dominate the variety shows for some time before the throne is passed to Lee Seung Gi.
