Group Wonder Girls revealed their thoughts on their venture into the U.S.
The December 13th installment of KBS 2TV’s ‘Star Life Theater’ was the Wonder Girls episode. In the episode Sohee revealed, “When we went to the U.S, the language and the culture were the most difficult things. It took a really long time to adjust to.”
Yubin revealed honestly, “When we first went to the U.S, it wasn’t about whether it was the right way or not but only thought ‘We’re really going to the U.S.’ I think that’s why we just went.”
Yeeun also revealed, “When we said we’re going to the U.S. many people told us worrying, ‘What are you going to do if you fail’, ‘what if you lose everything’. I think even if we fail, we have nothing to lose. Even if we didn’t succeed, we would have thought that we learned a lot.”

i really respect the wonder girls no matter what the outcome. they were very courageous and even just for that, they deserve respect if not anything else

Most idols garnering international fame outside of Asia just sort of lucked out with the timing. Youtube, facebook, and along with the vastly improved quality in music in kpop just gave them the fame they have. However with the WG, they chose to challenge themselves in the biggest entertainment market in the world the only way it can be tackled, head on. If you think SM having concerts in the US or Cube having concerts in Europe will put them in the same level as say Lady Gaga or Chris Brown, you are sadly mistaken. The only way you make it in the US is if you come here and give it your best and even then you have little or no chance of making it here. The only group that has any chance of making in the US is the Wonder Girls and fail or not fail they don’t have anything to be ashamed of. The are winners in my book no matter what the outcome.

People are so dumb hung up on the fear failure. How can anyone achieve something great with the constant fear of failure? I applaud the girls for challenging themselves to be the best.
