‘Wandeugi’ tops the box office amid competition from Jang Geun Suk & Song Joong Ki

The movie ‘Wandeugi’ has come out on top of the box office for the 4th week in a row.

According to the information provided by the Korean Film Counsel, from the 10th through the 13th, during the same period which Jang Geun Suk’s ‘I Am A Pet’ and Song Joong Ki’s ‘Penny Pinching Romance’ had opened, ‘Wandeugi’ had been screened by 441,504 moviegoers. The total box office number for ‘Wandeugi’ rests a 3.24 million moviegoers.

During the same period ‘I Am A Pet’ has totaled at 154,999 moviegoers and ‘Penny Pinching Romance’ only managed 112,397. Although the two movies starred two of the biggest stars of today, Wandeugi’s heartwarming story of the less fortunate in our society has won over the theatergoers.

Wandeugi is now poisted to break the 4 million theatergoers mark and it should go down as one of the biggest hits of 2011.

To thank the fans for the love and support of the movie, the lead actors of the movie Yoo Ah In and Kim Yoon Suk visited several theaters in Incheon to greet the fans in person.
