Uhm Jung Hwa, who is a senior colleague of Lee Hyori known to be very close to her, spoke out in support of Lee Hyori.
Uhm Jung Hwa tweeted on October 7th, “Unnie (referring to Uhm Jung Hwa herself who is older than Hyori) is very proud of you and think you are great. It’s so very very difficult to do the right thing”.
Uhm Jung Hwa seemed to defend and cheer up Lee Hyori saying, “You are so beautiful and great for taking care of, and taking action, and trying with a loving heart. No matter what they say Hyori’s cool!”
Lee Hyori has been the topic of discussion as well as criticism for coming out to advocate for animal protection and speaking out against fur but then a picture of her wearing a leather jacket surfaced. Some of the netizens thought it to be hypocritical to wear leather and speak out against fur.
Lee Hyori has tweeted early morning of October 7th already stating, “Everyone, I am not perfect”.

Hyori is very kind to animals. She donated USD 50,000 for abandoned animals. She is trying to do the best she can. Most of the goods are made of leather these days. It doesn’t mean you can’t wear leather stuff while tyring to protect animals. Just love her for who she is.
