The past 7 days must have been the most difficult time Kang Ho Dong ever had to endure in his life. However difficult though, his warm heart did not allow him to ignore friends who wanted to know his well being.
According to a close friend of Kang Ho Dong, Kang Ho Dong took the time to reply to every single one of the text messages he has received for Thanksgiving from friends and colleagues alike. The friend stated, “He wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving, but I know his heart is shredded. I didn’t expect him to reply, but he did”.
The friend continued, “All of his friends are deeply concerned for his well being. Putting the need of others before him, that’s the type of person he is. He’s the type of person that does not like to make big fuss of anything, even good things. He celebrated Dusan‘s (son) 1st birthday with a small party with only his family”.
(The 1st birthday is a big deal in Korea and is celebrated big. Friends and family are invited to a big party and the child is usually given gold bracelets or rings to wish them a prosperous life. A huge star like Kang Ho Dong could bring in tens of thousands of dollars with a single party).
When asked about Kang Ho Dong’s come back the friend stated, “It is a matter that only he can decide, it needs to be considered very carefully”.
